Active participation

Brunata contributes in many ways to the reduction of CO2 emission. We have done it for years – actually since 1917 – through metering of consumption. In 2009 we participated actively in the Copenhagen Climate campaign (Klimakbh.dk) and in 2010 and 2011 we participated actively in 2100.nu with the aim to reduce CO2 emission with 10% in one year in the Oesterbro area of Copenhagen.

As part of 2100.nu Brunata developed a water-saving check (VST) for free in cooperation with CG Enterprise and Tandrup Water Solutions which we still offers.

In relation to 2100.nu we put focus on:

• creating greater awareness of resource consumption among citizens
• ensuring that the cost of resource consumption is allocated fairly
• cooperating with other energy saving partners and scientific institutions to implement holistic and sustainable urban solutions
