Cleantech company Brunata has released its latest annual report and continues its growth journey with increasing revenue and solid business progress. The result is driven in particular by a strong market position within consumption-based cost allocation and significant international success.
Brunata, which develops digital solutions for energy and water consumption in buildings and the utility sector, has released its latest annual report. Revenue in the Danish part of the business increased to DKK 392.2 million, corresponding to growth of almost 7% compared with the previous year. At the same time, operating profit increased to DKK 84.9 million. This makes it the strongest result in the cleantech company’s 109-year history.
“Our latest annual report is very satisfactory. Employees across all teams have made an outstanding effort, and that is why we are able to present this result today. We also met our expectations for annual revenue,” says CEO Jesper Holm Kristoffersen and continues:
“We ended the year in a strong position because we both maintained a solid position in the market for consumption-based cost allocation and experienced increasing demand for our digital solutions. At the same time, we are seeing strong progress within digital solutions for water utilities, where we now help more than 60 large and small water utilities in Denmark digitalise and monitor their consumption on a daily basis. This gives us a strong foundation for continued growth.”
International success
Alongside the strong Danish result, Brunata is also seeing increasing international demand, with the company’s digital solutions and business models increasingly being rolled out across Europe.
“We are generally seeing a significant increase in interest from our international partners. This applies both internally within the group, where several companies use Brunata as a distribution hub, and among external partners in European markets where we are not directly present ourselves,” says Kristian Voldby Olsen, CEO of Brunata International. He elaborates:
“The solutions and technology we have developed and implemented in Denmark are now increasingly being expanded across our 15 companies around Europe. Here, we share our digital platforms, standardised solutions and best practices through what we internally call ‘Brunata-in-a-box’. This has helped accelerate our international growth significantly,” he says.
In the middle of an ambitious strategy period
Brunata is now in the middle of a new and ambitious strategy period that runs until 2028. In the coming year, the company expects revenue growth of between 5 and 10%, while the company’s result is expected to increase by up to 5%.
“Our overall strategic plan is a digitalisation journey with a cross-cutting focus on automation, standardisation and scalable services. This combination will take us into the future as a leading digital provider and cleantech company based on connected technology and intelligent data,” says Jesper Holm Kristoffersen.
“Although the world continues to be characterised by geopolitical unrest and economic uncertainty, we see great potential for further growth. The need for digitalisation, intelligent energy solutions and better use of data is only increasing, and this is where we must play an active role in the green transition by helping customers and end users use energy more responsibly and efficiently,” adds Kristian Voldby Olsen.
